The BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of HINDS COUNTY, will receive sealed bids for the STATE

STREET PROPERTY IMPROVEMENTS. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on THURSDAY, JULY 13, 2023, at 10:00 AM (CST) at

the facility, located at 664 SOUTH STATE STREET, JACKSON, MS 39201. Site visits of the

facility will take place after the Pre-Bid Conference.

Sealed bids will be received TO the HINDS COUNTY CHANCERY CLERK, EDDIE JEAN

CARR ATTENTION GRETA LOVELL, SECOND FLOOR, CHANCERY COURT BUILDING,

located at 316 S PRESIDENT STREET, JACKSON, MS 39201, OR PO BOX 686 JACKSON,

MS 39205 until 10:00 AM (CST), on WEDNESDAY, JULY 26, 2023. The Bids will then be

publicly opened and read aloud shortly thereafter.

Electronic Bids will also be accepted until 10:00 AM (CST), on WEDNESDAY, JULY 26,

2023, by electronic submission as a PDF file at www.imsengineersbids.com.

A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the HINDS COUNTY, in the amount not less than five

percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars

($10,000.00,) must accompany the bidder’s proposal.

A one hundred percent (100%) each Performance and Payment Bonds issued by a surety

company authorized to do business in the State of Mississippi will be required within ten (10)

days after the successful bidder has been notified of the award of the contract.

Electronic files of the Contract Documents may be viewed online on the IMS Engineers

Planroom at www.imsengineersbids.com. PDF and Hard copy set of Contract Documents are

also available for purchase on the IMS Engineers plan room at the contractor’s expense.

An official list of bidders will be maintained at www.imsengineersbids.com to ensure eligibility

requirements of the bidder are met prior to bid opening. Any bid submitted from a bidder not on

the official bidders list and/or not containing the above information will not be opened.

Bids are to be submitted on the Bid Form provided per the Specifications. Segregated Bids will

not be accepted.

All bids submitted in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) by a Prime or Subcontractor

to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance, or related work must comply with

DDG Project No: 18.014 the Mississippi Contractors Act of 1985, by securing a Certificate of Responsibility from the

State Board of Contractors.

The following information must appear on the outside or the exterior of the envelope containing

the bid. No bid shall be opened or considered unless the following is noted on the outside or the

exterior of the envelope containing the bid:

1. Name of Bidder

2. Address and Phone Number of Bidder

3. Name of Project for which Bid is submitted

4. Certificate of Responsibility/Contractor’s State License Number

5. Expiration Date of License

6. The Portion of Classification of Bidders License that Applies to this Project

Your bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of thirty

(30) days after submission.

The HINDS COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS reserves the right to waive any and all

informalities and/or to reject any or all bids, and to make an award in any manner consistent

with Mississippi Law, deemed to be in the interest of the City.
